Ash Footwear is synonymous with high quality leather boots and the Autumn/Winter seasons are the time to invest in an update. The AW16 Mainline Collection has landed online this week with myriad options in both soft black leather and modern textured leather. With trend led designs, as well as classic styles and old favourites, the new collection has us starry eyed and ready to make a dent in our bank balance. Read on for a run down of our Autumn Boot Edit – Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Classic soft leather boots will never go out of style. A staple that can be teamed with just about anything with the right styling, a black leather boot is always top of our shopping list when the Autumn rolls around. The Ivana Boots are a style that has become a staple in the Ash Footwear collection over the last few seasons in an array of beautiful suedes. For AW16 this basic boot is reincarnated in soft black leather to make it more cold weather appropriate. A new introduction for this season are the Kim Boots. With a much coveted ‘midi-rise’, we can see these working just as well in the office as they will for a night out dancing. The Erika Boots take it way back to basics in a majorly trend inspired shape – Block heel, midi rise and an almond toe ensure your style credentials will be A+.

A little texture can go a long way to change the feel of a shoe and we think the python scale fabric in the AW16 collection gives not only a rock & roll edge, but also a super luxe feel too. The Kate Boots, with their block heel and midi rise conjure up images of indie queen and icon, Kate Moss. We’re picturing them teamed with the skinniest of black denim, a perfectly oversized silk shirt and a skinny neck scarf, all topped off with an essential leopard print fur coat – Dreamy. The Lois Boots provide a low heeled, daytime option in this tactile fabric and will work perfectly to add a toughened up finish to this seasons hyperfeminine floral dresses. Returning from AW15, the Ivana is also available in textured python for this season because you loved it so much.

Which camp do you fall into? Do you prefer a classic leather or a rock and roll edge to your boots? Personally, we like a bit of both, and the Autumn Boot Edit is getting us mighty excited for the leaves to start falling.
