AW15 may feel like it’s only just getting started, but it won’t be long until fresh new SS16 styles are landing on a weekly basis. With this in mind, we thought we’d introduce you to some of the key styles of the season which are available online right now. Talk about being ahead of the game, huh?
Read on to see our teaser of what’s on the agenda for next season.
For SS16, Ash Footwear have focused in on specialist fabrics and crafting techniques to add interest and a touch of the unique to the seasons designs. With a noticeable merging of styles which can be seen through sparkling gemstones, which would usually be reserved for evening wear, being worked into the Sportsline designs. As well as this, we see the introduction of tech inspired fabrics into the Mainline Collection, leading to one of the most modern and innovative collections you have seen from Ash Footwear.
Trainers have made the jump over the past few seasons from sports essentials to street style stars and with this shift comes the demand for more design led styles, rather than technical focus. The new Quartz Trainers which come to us for SS16 in two colourways bridge that gap. With an architectural geometric inspired sole, the woven design of the elastic upper gives these trainers fashion credentials. The camo pattern seen in one of the versions paves the way for a strong theme that you will see throughout the whole collection for SS16.
Another key fabric coming through for SS16 is the knit fabric featured in the little black boot, Dream. Looking like a classic, chic design from afar, get up close and you will see the multi-patterned knit in an unconventional, almost rope-like fabric that gives the Dream Boot it’s edge. The light breathable fabric makes the Dream your ideal warm weather boot.
The knit fabric seen in the Dream Boots also features heavily in the SS16 Sportsline, which you can see in the Jeday Slip On’s. An update on the signature Jungle Trainers, we love the contrasting colourways, especially that rich Royal Blue. We love this style for ease and comfort, factors which are all too important as we move through the season.
Maybe you’re thinking, ‘Wait, it’s not even Christmas yet!’, but fashion waits for no one. Get ahead of the crowd and start building your SS16 shoe wardrobe now. We think this sneak preview covers all bases – The On-Trend Fashion Trainer, The Classic Black Boot (With a twist) and the Go-To Weekend Casual Slip-On – and this is just a taste of things to come.
