AW15 is in full swing now, and the Ash Footwear Collection delivers pieces inspired by some of the seasons key catwalk trends. Across Fashion Weeks from New York to Paris, there were clues as to what we should be wearing on our feet throughout Autumn and Winter.

Read on to see our run down of the key trends which will keep you ahead of the fash-pack this season.

The gothic trend this season came through strongly at Alexander Wang, Thom Browne and Simone Rocha to name a few. Heavy soled boots and shoes reigned supreme across all 4 fashion weeks, showing a darker side to fashion for AW15. Channel Wang’s goth girl in our platform sole, padded ZELDA Boots or take inspiration from Simone Rocha by teaming our SHADOW Lace Up’s with floral ruffled silk.

Heavy soled, military inspired boots, like our NEAL Boots, turned tradition on it’s head at Balenciaga, when Alexander Wang paired them with ladylike wool dresses for maximum effect. In London, Henry Holland worked clashing prints and calf length dresses with stompy black boots for a perfectly executed clash of aesthetics. Try this look with the SHAKE Boots. At Rag & Bone, the go-to androgynous loafer was the footwear of choice. Team bright metallics with our SERUM shoes to emulate this NY-Cool look.

The AW15 trend that was by far most prominent across the shows was pointed toes. This season we’re looking back to the 70’s and 80’s for inspiration and that shines through with the footwear striding down the runway. Saint Laurent’s 80’s Punk made the case for black leather pointed heels – Enter the DRASTIC Boots, for an instant high fashion look. Christopher Kane updated his boots with a luxe deep red crocodile leather. For a hint of colour, the ILONA Boots in rich Bordeaux are our top pick. Balmain brought 80’s glam in a big way with metallic pointed heels. Channel this jewel-toned era with the EXIR Kitten Heels.

70’s more your vibe? Look to Burberry Prorsum‘s Boho Princess and her earthy suede and floral dresses. The IVANA Boots in soft camel nod to the folk inspired feel of the season. Work them during the day with flared denim and a pussy bow blouse for refined 70’s glamour. The moral of the story? If it’s suede, it’s essential.
