Elle UK inspired us with their feature on how to master the perfect at home pedicure in their July 2015 issue. We love nothing more than a Sunday night pamper session and when better to go all out with an at home pedi than on the cusp of Summer. We’ve got your steps to summer ready toes down – It’s time to get your feet set for sandals.

EJSTYLEWe love blogger Emma Hill’s contrasting white pedi against our MUMBAY Sandals.

Firstly, you need to prep your feet by removing any old polish and filing them down to your preferred length. We like to have ours with just a little bit of white showing.

Next it’s time to buff away those tell tale signs of winter feet. We like to use a classic Ped Egg but any good foot file will do the trick! Follow this up with a treat for your cuticles. We love The Body Shop’s Almond Nail & Cuticle Oil – It’s smells amazing, and it works too. Massage this into the base of your nails and leave it to go to work for a little bit. At this point, we like to make a cup of our favourite herbal tea, to up the spa factor a little bit more!

Here is where you get to sit back and relax while you drink your tea (or wine, whichever way you’re inclined!). Fill a large bowl with warm water and soak your feet. We love the natural at-home recipe for a dreamy foot soak featured in this pin followed up by a cooling foot scrub, but if you want to go for something a little more luxurious, we love this soak and scrub method by Lush featuring some of their delectable handmade products. Don’t forget to tend to your cuticles before you go in with your scrub. A little orange stick is perfect for this task.

Treat your feet to a heavenly pamper with Lush products

Have a warm, dry towel at hand and softly pat your feet dry once you have washed away any products. Now go in with a rich, moisturising lotion, applying it heavier on any problem areas. We love Soap & Glory’s Heel Genius as it’s gel like texture is super cooling. For extra hydration points, we like to throw on some moisture locking socks for at least half an hour to really get the most out of the product.

Now your feet are beautifully prepped, it’s time to give them a beautiful coat of bright polish. Start with a good base to stop the colour from chipping. We can’t get enough of orange and coral tones for Summer, and our current favourite is the Rimmel Salon Pro By Kate Nail Polish in Hip Hop. If you fancy being a bit more adventurous with your nail art, check out this Pinterest board for some serious inspiration! Finish off with blogger favourite top coat, Seche Vite to keep your pedicure chip free and shiny for longer.

Now all you need is the perfect Summer sandals to show off your beautifully pampered toes!
