E-commerce Customer Service and Admin Assistant


Ash Shoe Co Ltd has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic candidate to join our E-Commerce team in our Kentish Town offices. This is for a 6-8 month maternity cover.

We are looking for a website assistant to work with all facets of the business. Reporting to the online manager directly, you will be responsible for any activities as required including over the phone/email customer care, conducting refunds and liaising with logistics companies to track customer parcels. You will also be packing and dispatching parcels from time to time and as per demand in busy periods.

The ideal candidate will be in love with fashion and will be a fast and detail orientated in any work that they do. Any eCommerce experience would be advantageous as would be experience of customer service. It is the first step for those looking to get into a career in E-commerce within Fashion Industry. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities are:


  • Provide customer support in terms of order management check out, order cancellation, order enquiry)
  • Pulling orders from the warehouse and packaging when required
  • Perform manual fraud screening activity and ensure held orders are checked and processed within given deadlines
  • Provide customer support in terms of shipment tracking and liaising with courier’s company
  • Provide superior support to customers through phone calls and emails, ensuring that customers receive a prompt and efficient response to all enquiries within given metrics and that messages taken for other staff members are passed on accurately
  • Liaise closely with other departments to ensure full conformity to customer requirements and efficient handling of inquiry.
  • Provide customers with superior support in terms of product knowledge by attending product sessions, actively updating and learning from workbook, liaising with Product Department, sharing info received with the team
  • Keep e-com manager informed and involved in case of tasks, which cannot be dealt within given deadlines or issues needing escalation
  • Keep Marketing, Retail and IT departments informed of website discrepancies or bugs
  • Leasing with finance department regarding courier invoices and shipping’s costs, reporting the online expenses.
  • Pro-actively work to ensure best practice company goals are achieved
  • Occasionally warehouse related tasks such as receiving, counting and re-stocking merchandise.
  • Any other duties will be assigned to the Job Holder within the Job Holder’s capabilities


The successful candidate will have the following qualities:


  • Attention to detail and hardworking
  • Able to work independently
  • Computer literate.
  • Good organization skills and pro-active.
  • Interest in E-commerce and Internet trading
  • Excellent standard of written English and proficient with good communication skills
  • Have an understanding of Google Analytics and SEO will be definitely and advantage
  • Basic Knowledge of Excel and Photoshop


Salary: £14,000 per annum
